Wales prop faces exile after buying trademark Ardie Savea dummy in Smith try
There is nothing more theatrical in the game of rugby than Ardie Savea's dummy, and nine times out of ten no one buys it at all. But that one was Wales prop Nicky Smith.
The replacement loosehead was sold an absolute corker by the All Blacks' No8, who was able to run through a gap and pop the ball to Aaron Smith for another All Blacks try in the second half at the Principality Stadium. That was Smith's second try of the match, but Savea was on the scoresheet only a few minutes later with a try of his own. This was all on the way to him being named man of the match in what was a sensational performance. It was also on the way to the All Blacks recording a very impressive 55-23 win over the hosts.
Well that was Savea's successful dummy of the year.
