Bok scrum-half tricks 87-cap great with elite wizardry

Sometimes a try is so good, you need to watch it again just to see what exactly happened. That was very much the case on Saturday when the Sharks scored their third try of the match against Harlequins.

With a scrum five metres out from Quins' line at the Hollywoodbets Kings Park in Durban, the visitors bizarrely left the blindside empty with Makazole Mapimpi lurking, one of the best finishers in the game.

The Sharks looked like they were shaping up for No8 Phepsi Buthelezi to carry from the base of the scrum, and scrum-half Danny Care looked like he had the blindside covered, and to be fair, he would have thought he had when he jumped on his opposite made Jade Hendrikse as soon as he got his hands on the ball.

But the 87-cap England great was not expecting the Bok Hendrikse to pull off one of the most audacious passes you will see, flicking the ball out of the back of his hand while be tackled by Care. This left Mapimpi with open space to run into and score. It looked easy, but it required some world class skill from Hendrikse.
